We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! Our CEO and Founder, Jared Carroll, has taken on a new role as a Senior Consultant at Community Resource Exchange (CRE). For nearly 45 years, CRE has partnered with nonprofits across New York City and nationwide (working with over 500 organizations annually) to strengthen their existing work and innovate around emerging challenges. This is a significant step forward, not just for Jared but for the entire Play At The Core community.
A New Chapter, A Continued Commitment
First and foremost, we want to reassure our community members that Jared’s commitment to Play At The Core remains unwavering. This new role at CRE is in addition to his responsibilities at PATC. Furthermore, Jared is continuing to expand his teaching at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work.
Aligning Visions for Deeper Impact
CRE’s vision for their work embodies a commitment to serve and shape the nonprofit sector by centering equity, anti-oppressive practices, and the experiences of BIPOC communities. Their vision of “upbuilding” resonates deeply with PATC’s commitment to parallel process, as articulated by Jared in Nonprofit Quarterly. This synergy symbolizes a mutual passion for revolutionary change, pioneering insights, and a nurturing community.
Strengthening Our Support For Partners
This connection with CRE stands to bolster the support offered to our partners, deepening PATC’s work with current partners, and addressing key gaps in the services we provide. With CRE’s focus on organizational strategic planning, leadership cohort programming, and Board development services, PATC anticipates referring partners to CRE, magnifying our community impact. Collaborating in this way can ensure that we provide the best possible support to those we serve.
What Can This Mean For You?
This fresh chapter brims with promise for Play At The Core and our community. Through collective efforts, resource pooling, and vision alignment, we aspire to catalyze even more healing and transformation.
